ADES-UK and COT-UB E-Farm System for Farmers and Cooperatives

The E-Farm Management System, workshop trained over 20 participants, in navigating, data capture and process with the novel E-farm, online management system, which features voice activation, local languages and mobile phone access modules.

It also trained senior farmer cooperative staff on data handling and manipulation with Excel Spreadsheets, the basics of BCS (British Computer Society) accredited ECDL/ICDL packages; on handling students, trainee and staff data; and also identified participants who will need full training on the BCS accredited ECDL courses and the E-Farm Management System.

The feedback from participants demonstrated the sessions were very useful for their activities back in their various offices; and expressed the need for more future workshops. Key feedback from participants included
• More time allocation for each activity / session;
• Focus on cooperatives not individual members

The participants were issues certificates of participation, by Dr Michael Sone, Director of College of Technology, University of Buea, at the end of the training sessions, which the participants very much appreciated.
